Deacons

The word Deacon means servant. The Deacons are there to relieve the Pastor of any duties that they are capable of doing as directed by the Pastor.

Baptism
Assist the Pastor in administering Baptism. The deacons help provide a spiritual atmosphere of love and courtesy.

Lord's Supper
Assist the Pastor in administering the Lord's Supper. Administer Communion to the Sick & Shut in.

Watch Care
Maintain a close contact with all of the members of the Congregation. This ministry aids the Pastor in keeping up with the cares and concerns of the congregation. Each Deacon has been given a list of members to call periodically and to pay a visit to as the need arises.

Benevolence
Administer the Benevolence Fund which provides food, shelter, clothing, and utilities assistance to those in need according to pre-established guidelines.

Deaconess

The Deaconess Ministry participates in the ordinances of the church: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. They are responsible for the preparation of the candidates for Baptism and the preparation for partaking of the Lord's Supper. Additionally, they visit the sick and shut-in and offer support where needed.
 
Meeting Time: The third Saturday of each month at 10:00 A.M.

Trustees

The Trustees of Zion serve as legal representatives in all transactions related to the church as well as all financial affairs. They hold legal title to the church property and they sign all documents related to the purchase, sale, mortgaging or rental of church property after approval by the church in regular business meetings.
 
The Trustee Ministry meets the second Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m.
