We are delighted to have you view our home on the web. We trust you will find our site informative and inspirational.

Zion Missionary Baptist Church has been a congregation of Jesus Christ and a "beacon light of hope" for 150 years in the city of Saginaw, Michigan on the corner of now Johnson and Roosevelt Austin Avenue.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and infallible Word of God, without error, and the only and sufficient rule of faith and practice in all matters of conscience and religion. At Zion, we are committed to the teaching and preaching of the Word of God in a clear, understandable and relevant manner.

Ours is a warm and inviting fellowship of believers. We would love for you to join us.

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You (Psalm 9:10).

Ignorance is not a bad word, but ignorance is bad. And it is even worse when it is ignorance of God. Knowledge is good, but is best when it is the knowledge of God. To know God is to have a personal and intimate relationship with Him. To know God is to trust Him. To know His name is to be familiar with His attributes and character. Knowing Him, His attributes, and His character is an anchor that keeps the soul from drifting in times of difficulty and uncertainty. It matters what we know about a person; and it matters what we know about God. Knowing God gives us every reason to trust Him. Many people are seeking the things that God can give them, instead of seeking Him. Eventually these people will forsake Him because they really don't know Him after all. But those who know Him and seek after Him will never be forsaken by Him. David was so sure of this that he said, "When father and mother forsake me, the Lord will take care of me." Know Him! Trust Him! Continue to seek after Him!
